Following their second defeat of the World Indigenous Basketball Challenge going on at the University of British Columbia,
Bermuda went down by 7 points in their opener with the Skidegate Saints winning 75 – 68, Bermuda would then fall in their second game by 10 points to ITA Native Sports 78 – 68.
Bermuda was looking to rebound in their third game as they took to the court to face off against Gitxsan defeating their opponents 70 – 49.
Bermuda lead Gitxsan by one point at the end of the first period 20 – 19.
Bermuda opened up an 11 point lead at the half as they outscored Gitxsan 19 – 9 to lead 39 – 28 at the break.
Bermuda would stay consistent in the third period scoring 18 points and holding their opponents to 12 as they entered the final period with the score 57 – 40.
Bermuda held Gitxsan to just 9 final period points, while scoring 13 of their own on their way to the 21 point win.
Bermuda was led by Linden Jackson who scored a game high 20 points, while Mykal Glasgow added 11 points.
Jackson also had 8 rebounds, 3 assist, 3Steals and 1 Blocked Shot.
