In Island Basketball action inside the Cedarbridge Academy with 212 points scored in a double header.
In the opener the Island Ballers lost their captain John Lee in the first half through injury but were still able to come out winners over the young Skyforce team who were leading them at the half by 5 points 56-35. Allan Butterfield scored 11 points for the Island Ballers, while the Skyforce were led by Bryce Gonsalves with a game high 13 points.
In game 2, the Tsunami’s broke the Island Basketball League record of 11 straight wins set by Twisters last season after picking up their 12th win of the season by defeating the Hoopstars 63-40. Dean Jones scored a game high 17 points for the Tsunami’s, while and Billy Dunne scored 10 points for the Hoopstars.
