Amali Smith and her Wilberforce University Women’s Basketball teammates are now 2 & 3 on the season following their 64 - 54 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio).
Wilberforce was held to 10 points in the first quarter, but were only down by one point as Mount Vernon only managed 11, in the second quarter Wilberforce scored 19 points, but only allowed their opponents to score 16 points to take a 29 - 27 lead into the break.
Wilberforce were outscored 17 - 9 in the third quarter, but fought back to outscore Mount Vernon 26 - 10 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.
Smith scored 5 points in 16 minutes of action, going 1 for 2 from the Field and 1 for 2 from behind the 3 Point Line.
Smith grabbed 1 Rebound, to go with 1 Steal.
