Jenaya Wade-Fray and her Brixton Topcats were the first team to book their place in the Betty Codona Classic Plate Final, after they won an exciting contest 64-58 against Leicester Riders. With Riders opting to rest a host of senior stars, it was left to the young guns to step up and considering more than half of the roster was born on or after 1999, it was a terrific effort and contributed towards a great match-up.
Sevenoaks Suns will also step out in the Plate Final after they dominated a depleted Cardiff Met Archers 73-50 in a one-sided affair in Sheffield. Suns were firing on all cylinders from the outset against an Archers team missing the likes of Judit Fritz and Sarah Wagstaff.
