Barking Abbey Crusaders celebrated their second win against Jenaya Wade-Fray and her Brixton Topcats teammates this season with a 56-46 triumph on the road at the Brixton Recreation Centre.
The visitors got off to a quick start and built a solid foundation in the first quarter, opening up a 17-10 lead. Barking Abbey led by as many as 13 points in the second quarter, but Brixton managed to cut the deficit to single digits before the halftime break, with Mrashi Karumba beating the buzzer to make it 31-23.
Brixton had battled back to make it a three-point game, as teams entered the final period, but a five-minute scoreless stretch allowed Barking to break away once again to claim the win away from home as well.
Nnena Wabara had a game-high 12 points for Barking to go along with five rebounds, while Diana Naydenova-Goryanova was close to a double-double with 11 points and nine boards to her name.
Meanwhile, Tayani Clarke and Wade-Fray scored 10 points apiece for Brixton.
Wade-Fray played a total of 35 minutes, she went 1 from 5 from the Field and 2 from 12 from behind the 3 Point Line, she also went 2 for 2 from the Free Throw Line.
Wade-Fray grabbed 4 Rebounds, she had 2 Assist and 2 Steals.
