The top team in the Women’s British Basketball League Championship the Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters celebrated an easy win and maintained a one-game lead over Nottingham Wildcats in the League Table.
Hatters got the weekend's action rolling with a commanding 87 - 63 win against Jenaya Wade-Fray and her visiting Brixton Topcats teammates at the All Saints High School.
Sheffield set the pace early in the game and had the upper-hand throughout the match, before punching in the win confidently with a dominant fourth quarter.
Stephanie Gandy led all scorers with 21 points for Hatters, while Ta'Yani Clark collected a team-high 18 points for the Topcats, while Wade-Fray contributed with 17 points.
