IslandStats.com
The Wolfpack “Lady Cats” Elite Basketball program will be led by former NCAA Division I and Bermuda Women’s National team standout Erica Woods.

Woods was a four year scholarship athlete at Marshall University in Conference USA, where as a senior she was named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and received the C-USA Winter Spirit of Service Award in recognition for her academics and community service efforts as a student-athlete.

Charles Peters, Head of Wolfpack Hoops stated, “Woods is a highly experienced player and coach and has a great track record of giving back to the community at all levels. While attending Marshall she led Basketball clinics at Huntington St. Joe Pre-School and for the Girl Scouts. She visited hospital patients, participated in a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, and volunteered at Marshall Sweetheart Clinics for young girls. Woods was an academic scholar and standout athlete during her University years and is the type of mentor that our young ladies need in Bermuda. Wolfpack Elite is coached exclusively by former college and national team players, which makes us uniquely positioned to advise players who themselves are seeking to play Basketball at the next level. ”

Prior to Marshall, Woods attended IMG Academy, in Bradenton, Florida from 2007 to 2009 where she averaged 15.5 PPG, 6.8 RPG and 3.3 steals during her high school years.

Woods has also represented Bermuda and Great Britain making her a National treasure. She played for the Under 20 Great Britain National Team, traveling to Estonia, Greece and Macedonia for the Under 20 European Championships and represented Bermuda in the Island Games in the Isle of Wight and Rhodes, Greece finishing with a Bronze Medal.

Joining Woods to Coach the Lady Cats Programme is Nicole Crumpler. Crumpler graduated in 2004 from Flagler College, where she played Basketball from 2003-2004. Crumpler was also a member of the Women’s National team which played in the Island Games in 2005 in Gibraltar, Spain and 2011 in Isle of Wight. Crumpler is a member of the BBA Executive Committee responsible for Women’s Basketball, Assistant Coach of the Ladies Bermuda Youth National Team and is also an Assistant Coach for the Berkeley High School Girls team.

The Wolfpack “Lady Cats” Elite semester will begin on January 17th, 2015 and continue for four months ending in May. For more information or to register, please contact Wolfpack Hoops at info@wolfpackhoops.com.
