The CellOne Island Basketball League continued inside the Cedarbridge Academy Gymnasium with a Women’s Double-Header and a Men’s Double-Header.
In the Women’s Opener the Fly Girls edged the Lady Hawks 26 – 25, Jahkenya Trott scored 10 points for Fly Girls, while Tasha Thompson scored a game high 14 points for the Lady Hawks. In the other Women’s game the Court Queens defeated the Pink Panthers 14 – 11, Nicole Crumpler scored a game high 5 points for the Court Queens and A Berkeley scored 4 points for the Pink Panthers.
The Men’s Division first game saw the Twisters defeat the Flyboys 49 – 46, Kevin Stephens scored 14 points for the Twisters, while Jaren Hailey scored 15 points for the Flyboys.
In the nightcap, the Thunder Cats defeated the Hoop Stars 50 – 43. Davae Smith led the Thunder Cats to victory with 15 points, while Johnathan Lugo scored 8 points for the Hoop Stars.
