The Official Dates for the 2014 Caribbean Basketball Championships (CBC) Senior Men’s and Women’s Championships have been finalized.
But Bermuda have not entered, the dates for the Men’s Tournament is July 1st – 5th and the Women will play July 8th – 12th.
Bermuda have had teams for the Island Games, but to not enter a team in the Regional Championships is a bit concerning and one the Bermuda Basketball Association should be addressing with a statement publicly.
Former Professional Sullivan Phillips was denied the opportunity to represent Great Britain during the 2012 London Olympics because he turned out for Bermuda in a Regional Championship game, but now to not have a team enter is worrying.
We await a response from Bermuda Basketball Association officials on the issue.
