Junior Leah Scott produced a career-high 22 points to help lift Erica Woods and her Marshall University Women’s Basketball teammates over Charlotte 71 – 69 on Breast Cancer Awareness Day at Cam Henderson Center.
Freshman Kiana Evans earned her first career start, creating Marshall’s 11th-different lineup this season. Woods also joined the group for the first time since January 25th. Seven of Marshall’s nine wins this season have come with different starting combinations.
Woods played a total of 27 minutes going 1 for 4 from the Field, 1 for 3 from behind the Three Point Line and 4 for 4 from the Free Throw Line for her 9 points on the night.
Woods grabbed 7 Rebounds to go along with 1 Assist and 2 Steals.
