Levice defeated Sullivan Phillips and his Prievidza teammates to take a 2-1 lead in the series during first round action in the Slovakian National Basketball Play-Offs.
Levice were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 29-16 Prievidza's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 80-77 at the end of the game.
Levice forced 20 Prievidza turnovers. Strangely Prievidza outrebounded Levice 39-27 including 17 on the offensive glass.
It was a good game for Croatian-Slovenian forward Stipe Modric who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Keaton Grant contributed with 17 points for the winners.
American guard David Godbold answered with a double-double for Prievidza by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and Phillips added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Prievidza.
Phillips went 6-of-8 from the Field, 1-of-2 from behind the Three Point Line and 4-of-7 from the Free Throw Line in 35 minutes of action.
