In Slovakian Menís National Basketball Quarter-Final First Round action got underway with Sullivan Phillips and his Prievidza teammates defeated Levice 73-65 at home.
Prievidza grabbed a 1-0 lead in the Quarter-Final series. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 22-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. Prievidza dominated on the defensive end, holding Levice to just 5 points in first quarter.
Levice was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch.
Bermudaís Phillips contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners.
Croatian-Slovenian forward Stipe Modric answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for Levice.
Phillips went 5-for-10 from the Field, 1-for-3 from behind the Three Point Line and 5-for-8 from the Free Throw Line. Phillips added 2 Assist1 Steal and 1 Blocked Shot in 32 minutes of action.
