The Digicel Bermuda Netball Junior League got underway with the Harold "Doc' Dowling Tournament at the Bernard Park.
The Digicel Junior League sees 4 under 12 teams and 6 under 16 teams.
The Under 12 shooting champion was Sydney Santos hitting 8/10 representing the Phoenix Sparks, finishing second was Kari Virgil from the North Village lady Rams Whites who hit 7/10.
The Under 12 Team winners, saw it split between the Phoenix Sparks and North Village Lady Rams Whites as both teams recorded 14 goals.
North Village Lady Rams White’s Sanaa Berkley went 8/10 to win the Under 16 Shootout, with 2nd place going to Makaylie Smith who went 7/10 representing the Storm Thunder.
North Village Lady Rams White’s were the Team Winners with 14 goals.

Senior League
The Storm Thunder edged the North Village Lady Rams 36 – 32, the North Village Lady Rams took the early lead ending the first quarter up 12 - 6, with the dynamic combo of Jakenya Trott and Nikita Trott. The youthful Storm Thunder however, were not giving up so easily came back and by the end of the 2nd half came from behind and tied the game. The shooting combination between Nabiilah Nasir and Selah Tuzo caught balls that seemed impossible to get. Their front cuts and speed through the defense had North Village Lady Rams change their defensive duo several times. The battle continued with a hard fought match with either team having the chance at victory.
The Storm got 21 goals from Nasir and 15 goals from MVP Tuzo, while the North Village Lady Rams got 17 goals from Jahtuere Trott, 9 goals from Nikita Trott and 6 goals from Chaquita Simmons.
The Lindos Tigers still flying high after last weeks victory over Heat defeated Robin Hood 35 – 17 Lindos MVP Jahkenya Trott led the way with 25 goals, both Charlene Gomez and Demiqua Daniels scored 6 goals each. Charlie Bridgman scored 10 goals and was named MVP for Robin Hood, with Amanda Burns adding 7 goals.
The Heat defeated the Storm Lightning 26 – 18, Heat MVP Dominique Richardson led them to victory with 10 goals, Arkeita Smith added 9 goals and Kandrea Romaine scored 7 goals. Storm Lighting got 12 goals from MVP Sonja Townsend and Asrael Basden added 6 goals.
