Bermuda went down twice as the European Netball Championships continued in Scotland.
Bermuda took on the Republic of Ireland in their opener and went down 44-24.
Bermuda found themselves down 12-8 at the end of the first quarter, Ireland took an 8 point lead into the halftime break with the score 20-12. They extended the lead at the end of the third quarter to 34-18, before closing out the match.
Danielle Raynor scored 20 goals, while Talia Lucas and Jahtuere Trott scored 2 goals each.
In the second match of the day against Gibraltar, Bermuda went down 50 – 44. The match was exciting from beginning to the end as the two teams refused to give up. Bermuda scored their 44 goals off 52 attempts.
Gibraltar held a 26 – 21 lead over Bermuda in a very tight tactical first half of the game. Raynor led the Bermuda team again this time scoring 32 goals, Trott assisted with 9 goals and Lucas scored 3 times.
