BERMUDA’S fairy tale run in this year's Caribbean Netball Association's Jean Pierre Youth Tournament continued when they were crowned Developmental Group Champions with a game to play in Basseterre, St Kitts.
The Bermuda National Youth Netball Team departed Bermuda looking to defend the title they won last year and with tonight’s 19 – 12 win over St. Kitt’s sparked scenes of celebration.
Bermuda have one game remaining when they take on Guyana on Friday.
Bermuda held a 6 – 4 lead at the end of the first quarter, they then held a 12 – 8 half time lead. Bermuda scored 5 goals in the third quarter, while only allowing one goal against to lead 17 – 9 at the end of three quarters, in the final quarter Bermuda scored two goals and St. Kitt’s scored three times.
