The 2022 Telford Electric National Cross-Country Championships as well as the Bermuda XC Challenge took place at the Botanical Gardens.
Melina Johnston won the 17 – 19 Girls 5K Meet in the Bermuda XC Challenge with a time of 19:41.79, the Robbinsville junior came into the meet with the fastest seed time and backed it up by winning the event. Johnston won by more than two minutes, with second-place finisher Jaeda Grant of the Bermuda Pacers Track Club who was crowned the National Champion at the Age Group finishing with a time of 21:46.40.
Central Grand Junction High School claimed the first three spots in the 17 – 19 Girls 5K Meet in the Bermuda XC Challenge, with Tajahri Rogers crowned the National Champion in the Age Group finishing 7th overall with a time of 19:06.26.
Kelisa Wade was crowned the 12-13 Girls National Champion after clocking a winning time of 15:16:63, with Cameron Adkins winning the 12-13 Boys National title by clocking a time of 12:01.33.
Ryan Outerbridge and his Franklin Pierce Men's Cross-Country teammates placed 34th overall at the NCAA Division II National Championship at Chambers Creek Park in Seattle.
Junior Outerbridge placed in the top 200 racers, crossing in 195th with a 32:25.5 out of the 257-runner field.
