Three of the most remarkable athletes representing the United States at the 2000 Olympics sisters Hazel and Joetta Clark and their sister-in-law Jearl Miles-Clark, were honored during the US Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
As family affairs go, it was unique. For the first time, an entire U.S. team for one event came from the same family.
Following the honoring ceremony, Hazel Clarke posted on Social Media, “It is so great to connect with my partners and friends in the Track and Field community! I also got to see my beautiful niece in action. Bermuda has two Elite High School Meets in partnership with Mile Split and a professional USA Track & Field/Bermuda National Athletics Association Meet on schedule for 2023 so I look forward to welcoming my Track and Field family on the island soon.
