January 27th is the date for this year’s Butterfield & Vallis 5k right on the heels of Bermuda Race Weekend.
The Bermuda Heart Foundation will again be the recipients of the race proceeds and the race will launch their Heart Month (February) events.
The races kick off at 8.30am with a 1k race for lower primary students. At 9.00am the Primary and Middle School boys and girls will run the 2.7k route and at 9.30 the Senior School students and adults will run 5k. Walkers will start 5 minutes after the runners.
$500 will be awarded to the Primary, Middle and Secondary schools with the most entries. Draw prizes will include 2 pedal bikes from Winners’ Edge, Sportseller vouchers and an iPad donated by New York Presbyterian Hospital.
BF&M have kindly donated Fitbits to all category winners. There will also be a corporate prize for the company with the most entries.
Volunteers from the Bermuda Heart Foundation will be assisting with the race both with marshaling the course and manning the water stops.
The first 1,000 participants at number pick-up will receive a goodie bag filled with products from Highland Spring, Planters, Robin Hood, Axe, Ronzoni and Kraft Punchers plus a fabulous dri-fit shirt courtesy of New York Presbyterian Hospital. The first 1,000 finishers will receive a fun fidget spinner medal and all prize winners will receive a gift certificate and a commemorative glass mug.

Paper entries close on Wednesday, January 23rd at 4.45pm online entries close at 6.00pm on Friday, January 25th. Late Registration & Number Pick-Up will be on Saturday, January 26th between 10.00am & 2.00pm at Butterfield & Vallis on Woodlands Road. This event is supported by the Mid Atlantic Athletic Club.”
