Shaquille Dill represented Saint Augustine University and Dage Minors represented Franklin Pierce University at the 2018 Pepsi Florida Relays, hosted by the University of Florida.
Both Dill and Minors competed in the Men’s 800m College Race.
Dill finished 5th, while graduate student Minors finished 7th while turning in a school-record performance in the 800 meters.
Dill was clocked at 1:48.70, while competing in the first heat of the 800 meters, Minors laid down his fastest-yet collegiate time in the event, to finish seventh.
Dill qualified for the NCAA DII Outdoor Championships, Dill’s time was the eighth-fastest of the week in all Divisions. Dill ranks third nationally in Division II in the event.
Minors clocked in at a school-record time of 1:48.99, which is the second-fastest time in the country so far this season.
The time met the NCAA Championships provisional qualifying standard, and was less than a quarter-second away from the automatic qualifying standard.
