Several Bermuda Athletes competed in the Louis Lynch Championships 2018 at the Barbados National Stadium.
On Day One Bermuda won a Gold Medal and also had One More Qualifier for the Carifta Games.
Clevonte Lodge-Bean during the Under 17 Boys 400 Meter Dash Preliminaries clocked a fastest qualifying time of 50.58, Lodge-Bean would then win the Under 17 Boys 400 Meter Dash Final with a Carfita Games Qualifying Standard time of 49.36.
Telilah Wears finished 11th in the Womenís 100 Meter Dash Open stopping the clock in a time of 13.10, while Brijette Basden was 13th in 13.22.
Stephan Dill came close to the Carifta Games Standard during the Men 100 Meter Dash Open Final that saw him finish 6th clocking 10.90, Dill would record the same time as he finished 7th in the Preliminaries, while Deneo Brangman was 9th with a time of 10.98.
Wears would then finished 13th during the Womenís 400 Meter Dash Open clocking a time of 1:11.05, while Brangman would clock a time of 48.87 during the Menís 400 Meter Dash Open Preliminaries finishing 6th, in the Final Brangman would finish 5th clocking 49.47.
Mikal Dill finished 6th competing in the Menís Long Jump Open with a top leap of 5.69m.
