The Bermuda National Athletics Association (BNAA) will be launching a “Design the Mascot” competition for the Bermuda Invitational Permit Meet (BIPM) throughout all schools.
The BIPM will take place Friday May 11th and BNAA want to feature the Mascot at this event.
This event features International Professional athletes and our own Local professional athletes Olympian Tre Houston, KPMG Front Street Mile winner Dage Minors, Carifta Medalist Sakari Famous plus more.
Bermuda’s own Parapan Gold Medalist and Paralympian Jessica Lewis plus fellow para athletes will also be competing.
BNAA President Donna Raynor said, “We are looking for something colorful, fun and a representative our Bermuda Culture. Our intention is to use the Mascot for all of our International events especially when we have the Carifta Games in Bermuda in 2020.”
An award will be present to the student who designs the winning mascot and the school who submits the most entrants.
“We would like the students to have fun with this and come up with something very creative,” continued Raynor.
The deadline for all of the designs to be submitted will be Friday February 16th @ 5:00pm.
The designs can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or dropped off at the BNAA office which is located on Burnaby Hill in CedarParkade (opposite side of the Bus terminal).
If you have any questions or comments please send to BNAA email or call the office between the hours of Tuesday – Thursday 9:00am – 11:00am.
