Kevin Tucker IslandStats.com Six Bermuda Triathletes went to the start line for the Miami Ironman 70.3 Triathlon.
Ashley Estwanik finished second in the Female 35-39 Age Group stopping the clock in a time of 4:47:58, Estwanik finished 138th overall, she clocked a time of 41:00 on the Swim, 2:30:37 on the Bike Course and 1:31:50 on the Run Course. With her performance Estwanik qualifies for the 70.3 World Championships.
Tim Patterson clocked a time of 5:21:56, finishing 63rd in the Men’s 40 - 44 Age Group Division, during the Swim Patterson clocked 40:22, he then clocked 2:39:57 on the Bike and 1:56:15 on the Run Course putting him 426th overall across the line.
Steve Smith’s time of 5:28:38 saw him finish 81st in the Men’s 40 - 44 Age Group Division and 518th overall. Smith clocked 46:35 on the Swim, 2:38:19 on the Bike Course and 1:58:05 on the Run Course.
Dennis Fagundo finished 537th overall and 84th in the Men’s 40 - 44 Age Group Division with a time of 5:30:11. Fagundo clocked a time of 53:41 during the Swim, then on the Bike Course he clocked 2:41:20, before completing the Run Course in 1:49:39.
A time of 5:43:31 saw Kevin Tucker finish 72nd in the Men’s 45 - 49 Age Group Division and 717th overall. Tucker came out of the water following the Swim with the clock reading 49:58, he then covered the Bike Course in 2:38:40 and then completed the Run Course in 2:09:07.
Matthew Viney stopped the clock in a time of 7:14:33 to finish 1,767th overall and 127th in the Men’s 25 - 29 Age Group Division, Viney clocked a Swim time of 1:03:23, before clocking 3:27:03 on the Bike Course before closing out with a Run time of 2:37:08.
