Junior Dage Minors of the Franklin Pierce University Track & Field team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Minors won the 800 meters at the Elm City Challenge, with a time of 1:52.06. After conversion, as the meet was run on a flat track, the time becomes 1:50.48, and currently stands as the fastest time in the nation in the event. Minors' run also allowed him to meet the NCAA Championships provisional qualifying standard and the NEICAAA Championships qualifying standard.
All NCAA Championships qualifying marks are based on times run on a banked track, which produces faster times than a flat track. As such, all indoor times run on flat tracks have a conversion formula applied to level the playing field.
