Juma Mouchette and his Virginia State University Men’s Cross Country teammates competed the Virginia Union University Invite, in Bryan Park in Richmond, Va.
The meet grew to be the largest home cross-country meet in the program's history, with a total of seven teams competing in the eight-kilometer course.
Virginia Union University won the event with a total of 30 points. Hampton University was second with 47 points while Howard University finished in third place with 97 points. Mouchette’s Virginia State University was fourth with 100 points, Southern Virginia University was fifth with 110 points, Bowie State University was sixth with 118 points and Washington Adventist University was seventh 185 points.
Mouchette was the top Virginia State University runner and 15th overall, covering the 8K distance in 30:34.8.
