Two years ago Golfer Sergio Edness challenged Wayne Caines to a 100m Dash which Caines calling himself Hurri-Caines ran to victory.
Two years later and another Challenge was thrown out by Edness which Caines excepted and the Challenge was set, at first they agreed to meet at 12noon, but that was delayed until 6:30pm.
Edness arrived riding a pedal bike at 6:20pm and Caines arrived having been to the Gym at 6:28pm.
Although both were advised to warm up and stretch they just wanted to race. After a bit of jawing they lined up and were off, with Caines pulling up some 15m into the race grabbing his right hamstring, Edness ran to the finish line unchallenged to level the races at 1 – 1.
Caines stating after the race, “Congrats Sergio Edness, at the 10 meter mark I pulled a hamstring and I did not finish. Sergio won the race. I warmed up prior for 20 mins (at the gym) my age is showing! Give me a month!”
