It is a great final warm-up for International Race Weekend, starting on Friday, January 16th, 2015.

The Fairmont to Fairmont Race also includes a competitive walking category, a 3-member team relay, and a Junior 3K race.

The Fairmont to Fairmont Race will take the competitors from the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel, along Front Street, East Broadway, The Lane, Harbour Road, Burnt House Hill, Middle Road and up The Fairmont Southampton Driveway before finishing at The Fairmont Southampton’s Private Beach Club.

In 2015, the main draw prize is a four night stay at The Fairmont Mayakoba, Mexico with round-trip JetBlue tickets. There are prizes for the top Male & Female finishers of the Junior 3K in the following age brackets: 8-10, 11-12 and 13-15.

The Fairmont to Fairmont Relay Race will award prizes for the top finishers in the male, female, and mixed categories. The adult Fairmont to Fairmont Running Race has prizes for the top male and female finishers in the following categories 16-29 (open); 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 & over; and 70 & over. The Fairmont to Fairmont Race is organized by MAAC and sanctioned by the Bermuda National Athletics Association. First run in 1978 as the Princess to Princess, the race was MAAC’s first organized event. Now named Fairmont to Fairmont Race, it is the longest-running sponsored road race event in Bermuda. In 2014, $4,170 was donated to The Family Centre from MAAC and Fairmont from race proceeds. A portion of the 2015 entry fee will be donated to The Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust.
