In 2012, Clifford Roberts came up with an idea of how to increase the awareness of Prostate Cancer in Bermuda. In 2013 with the assistance from the Bermuda Cancer and Health Clinic that idea was put into reality, hence the creation of the “Man on the Run 5K/Walk.” Which falls in line in celebrating Movember, Men’s month for Health Initiatives.
Chris Estwanik won the Inaugural Man on the Run 5K Road Race that started and finished at the Warwick Academy School. The first that organizers are hoping is the start of many All Male race bringing attention to Prostate Cancer saw over 200 participants take to the course.
In its 2nd year this the male only 5K Run/Walk Race is held to support the cause and raise the awareness by spreading the word for all men to come out and participate. All funds raised will go towards ALL Men’s Health initiatives.
