Jay Donawa will be competing in the London Marathon on April 22, 2012 on behalf of SPARKS.
Donawa has been competing in Athletics for the past 27 years, and has represented Bermuda in many competitions.
Donawa is a graduate of Auburn University which is located in Auburn, Alabama, U.S.A.
Donawa competed in four New York City Marathons and this year marks the first time that he will be competing in the London Marathon.
Donawa said, “It is extremely special as I will be competing on behalf of SPARKS.”
SPARKS funds research into serious conditions affecting the health of babies, children and mothers to be. Through the research SPARKS funds, they aim to improve the quality of life for children and families affected by serious illness or disability today, whilst seeking ways to better diagnose, treat and prevent these conditions in the future.
Donawa concluded, “As I run through the streets of London on April 22, 2012 on behalf of this great charity, I would appreciate any donations that will assist with this important cause.”
