On a day honoring the history of St. John's Cross Country, the current St. John's runners including Alexis Bean stole the show with their second consecutive St. John's Fall Festival title. The team placed five runners in the top-10 and finished the day with an average 4K time of 14:28.97.
Nicole Cocozza continued her impressive stretch of races by taking the Women's Individual Championship. Her time of 13:56.49 was a personal 4K best for the senior as she crossed the line nearly 16 seconds before the next closest finisher. Senior Samantha Meyerhoff completed the race with a time of 14:24.10 which earned her a third place finish overall. Junior Michelle Duffy placed fifth overall with a time of 14:31.67.
Sophomore Chelsea Trant and senior Aryon Trujillo rounded out the top-five for St. John's with 14:42.55 and 14:50.03 respectively. Trant placed sixth overall while Trujillo recorded a ninth place finish. Sophomore Angela Jarvela registered a time of 15:03.78 to take home 13th place overall. Junior Bean crossed the line just seconds later with a time of 15:27.48 which placed 16th overall in the field. Marisela Acevedo ran a time of 18:44.36 in her first ever St. John's Fall Festival.
