Erica Hawley finished 18th overall and helped her school Millfield qualify in first place at round 1 of qualifiers for English Schools Athletics Association ( ESAA) Cross Country.
The Junior Girls are made of Year 9 and 10 students with Hawley the youngster on the team in Year 9. The Junior Girls team had their best team score ever in round 1 and has a very strong team this year.
The team will now race in round 2 of the ESAA Cross Country Championships which takes place November 12th. If they place in top 3 teams at this round then they qualify for the National Championships December 3rd.
