Countdown to Round the Island Race

IslandStats.com
With the Round the Island Powerboat Race scheduled for this coming Sunday August 17th, www.islandstats.com will highlight the boats that have signed up for the event by Class.

As indicated last year the first boat across the line in each Class is declared the winner.

Today we continue with the D Class.

Driver: Chad Sutherland
Co Pilot: T.B.A
Boat Number: D 87
Boat Make: Progression
Length of Boat: 22 feet
Engine Type: Mercury 280hp – Modifications permitted

Driving a 22 foot Progression powerboat powered by a modified Mercury 280hp motor will be Chad Sutherland along with his soon to be announced co-pilot. Last year Chad and his then co-pilot Mackie Wilson placed second in class and Chad will be looking to improve on that result this year. He has been working tirelessly on the boat to make sure it is in good running order for the race and he will be pushing the boat to the limit to try and achieve top spot.

Driver: Stevie Eversley
Co Pilot: Brandon Franks
Boat Number: D 187
Boat Make: Ocke Mannerfelt – B23
Length of Boat: 23 feet
Engine Type: Mercury 280hp – Modifications permitted

In D 187 (aka #1 suspect) we have Stevie Eversley and his co-pilot Brandon Franks that will be racing their 23 foot Ocke Mannerfelt B 23 powerboat with a modified Mercury 280hp engine. Last year the duo obtained first in class and second overall just missing out on first across the line by a mere 30 seconds. They made a valiant effort last year for the top spot and they will definitely be ones to watch for this year as well.
