IslandStats.com
Bermuda’s Scott Barnes concluded competing in the 23rd Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix powered by Mediacom in Illinois.

Barnes finished in the 16th position competing in the LO206 Heavy 1 Final.

Barnes powered his way to a 8th place finish in the King of the Streets race against a bunch of fast ICC motors (top 6 ICC's).

Barnes then took to the track to compete in the LO206 Medium Class and raced to the 22nd spot.

Barnes finished the day in 125cc Open Shifter class finishing 4th behind a bunch of fast ICC motors.

Barnes said, “It has been a rough weekend, I had some good races and some really bad ones, two strong finishes in my shifter classes,8th in King of the Streets out of 20 fast guys( top 6 ICC motors), and 4th in open shifter out of 12(all ICC motors) guess it's time to buy a ICC!”

“When the corner workers come to your pits on Sunday to see if your ok because " that's the worse crash they've seen in 15 years at the Rock" I'm very blessed to be able to walk away ok. Body is sore and helmet is done, probably fitting it dies in RI seems one of the GPS coordinates is RI”, continued Barnes.

Barnes concluded, “Rock Island is always a fun but tough weekend, blessed to be able to have won twice in shifter classes there, happy to be walking away after the worse crash of my karting career, see you next year Rock Island.”
