The 2014 Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club's ('BMRC') National Championship Series is scheduled to commence on May 18, 2014. The series is schedule to run 12 events over the course of May through October. The first event of the season will be hosted alongside the Bermuda Karting Club ('BKC') at the Bermuda Motor Sports Park in Southside, St. David’s.
Team Tuned Motorcycle Racing will be represented by Bruce DeGrilla Jr and Shae Darrell in the GP125 and GP80 classes respectively.
DeGrilla will be racing onboard a Team Tuned prepared Moriwaki MD250H four stroke machine in the coveted GP125 class. DeGrilla has raced under the direction of Team Tuned since 2007 and has acquired 4 National Championships during that time. With over 10 years’ experience under his belt DeGrilla will be looking to rack up additional notches to is tally of wins whilst here on his summer break from University.
Darrell is returning to racing after a two year absence. Darrell joined Team Tuned in 2009 and has acquired one national championship and two top three championship finishes during the three years under the direction of Team Tuned. Darrell will be reentering the support in the GP80 class onboard a Team Tuned prepared Honda RS150R four stroke machine. This will be Darrell's first full year in the GP80 classification though he has an aim to complete "double-duty" by also competing with his 150 four stroke machine in the GP125 class.
