One measure of the success of Olympic class racing on Biscayne Bay is the steadily growing participation. The numbers in 2015 are 599 boats from 63 countries-make this a record turnout. But make that 64 countries. Add Cuba to the list.
Bermuda’s Cameron Pimentel and Ceci Wollmann lined up to take part, Pimentel in the Lasers and Wollmann in the Laser Radial.
Pimentel began the day in 84th place overall, after 2 races on the day and nine in the series, Pimentel moved down one spot to 85th with 271 Net Points. Pimentel finished the first race of the day and the eighth of the series 38th and 25th in the next race.
Wollmann also sailed two races on the day, Wollmann ended the day down 15 spot from her starting position of 47th to 62nd with 117 Net Points. Wollmann recorded finishes of 34th and 28th.
