The Bermuda Pilot Gig Club hosted the Argus International Gig Regatta in the St. George’s Harbor.
With the wind at assisting the teams during the races it made for some very fast races on Day 1 which was the St. George's Sprint.
Spectators lined the Ordnance Island shoreline trying to get a glimpse of the rowers as they made their way to the finish line.
The Salty Sirens from Bermuda took the Ladies Honors for the day, with the East End Gigglers also representing Bermuda second and the Cotehle Rum Runners out of the UK finished third.
A Bermuda team called the Wonder Stroke took the line honors in the Men’s Division, a mixture of rowers from both the UK and Bermuda making up the Stragglers finished second and Team Jurassic finished third out of the UK.
