Kirklands are 9th in the 49er Gold Fleet

Brothers Jesse and Zander Kirkland began competing in the Gold Fleet during the SEIKO 49er World Championship in Zadar, Croatia.

The Gold Fleet consists of the top 25 sailors that competed in the 75 boat 49er Fleet.

The Kirkland’s ended the fourth day by falling one place from 8th to 9th place overall with 77 Net Points.

The Kirkland’s finished 7th in the first race of the day, before finishing sixteenth in race two and then they finished 2nd in the third and final race of the day.

The Kirkland’s during the 49er World Championships have recorded 9 top 10 finishes in the twelve races sailed thus far.
