The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club had a successful return to Bermuda International Invitational Race Week (BIIRW) with 9 International One Design completing 2 races on the Great Sound.
Beautiful conditions with the wind at 10-12 knots out of the northwest sees Patrick Cooper, Bermuda 1, the provisional leader after 2 races.
Cooper won both races on the opening day, with American Courtney Jenkins in second place finishing second twice representing Gibson Island Yacht Squadron, and rounding out the top three finishers on Day One was Tormond Lie from Norway who has 7 points, after finishing 3rd in the first race and 4th in the second race.
