Eight Bermuda young sailors continued competing in the 2021 South American Optimist Championships in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

Ethan Thompson, Sarah Davis, Trystan Hocking, Shiloh Cruickshank, Oliver Soares, Riley Lowe, Sophia Dias, and Dylan Menzies all took to the water for the 2 more races on Day Two.
Thompson came off the water leading the Bermuda Fleet, he is up one place from his starting position of 12th to come off the water in 11th place overall with 22 Net Points, he finished 7th in the first race, which was the fourth of the series, he would then finish 3rd in the second and final race of the day.
Dias moved up 22 places after finishes of 19th, and 13th for her 74 Net Points and she is in 61st place. Cruickshank is in 78th place with 92 Net Points, while Davis currently is holding down the 79th spot with 94 Net Points, Lowe is in 89th with 105 Net Points.
Hocking is in 105th with 123 points, while Menzies is in 126th with 142 points, and Soares is in 128th with 145 points.
