Geraghty-McDonnell Wins Irish National Optimist Championship

Caoilinn Geraghty-McDonnell who previously sailed in Bermuda took part in the IODAI Irish Open and National Optimist Championship 2020.
The event was hosted by the Royal Cork Yacht Club with some 80 youngsters taking to the water.
Geraghty-McDonnell won the Junior Division, she was the 2nd Female finisher in the Senior Fleet and finished 7th overall.
Geraghty-McDonnell in the 10 race series won 5 Junior races, while in the Senior Fleet she had five top 10 finishes, with her best finish of 5th coming in races 9 and 10.
