IslandStats.com
Racing is finally back underway at the 35th America's Cup Louis Vuitton America's Cup Challenger Playoffs Final.

Racing did start at the scheduled time, however midway through the race, ACRM officially abandoned the first race between Emirates Team New Zealand & Artemis Racing due to a lack of wind.

The race started with Emirates Team New Zealand leading, but the race was timed out, going over the 25 minute limit set by ACRM and agreed by the America's Cup teams.

Two hours later officials did get the race did get underway, at the Gate 2 turn Emirates Team New Zealand lead stood at 19 seconds, it was all to do for Artemis Racing if they were going to avoid elimination.

As the race went on it would have needed a disaster for Emirates Team New Zealand, not to become the 'Challenger' to Oracle Team USA.

Emirates Team New Zealand went through Gate 5 holding a substantial lead over Artemis Racing, the Kiwis were then heading for the last Gate.

They were able to stay strong and they will challenge Oracle Team USA for the right to lift the Trophy.
