Viper 640 International Championships Day One

The Aspen Viper 640 International Championships got underway in rainy conditions on the Great Sound.

Race One was won by American Zeke Horowitz, with Justin Scott from Great Britain was second and and Australian Bruce Mattinson was third. The first Bermuda boat to cross the line was Somers Kempe in 8th place.

Race Two saw Horowitz cross the first again, followed by fellow American Geoff Fargo and Lawrence Crispin from Great Britain was third, Kempe was yet again the first Bermuda boat to cross the line this time 18th.

Horowitz leads overall with two points, while Scott is in second with eight points, while Fargo is in third with 13 points. Kempe leads the Bermuda Fleet with 26 points and is in 10th place.
