Wollmann & Pimentel Back on the Water in Brazil

(UPDATED WITH RESULTS AND PLACINGS) Both Ceci Wollmann and Cameron Pimentel have returned to the Marina da Gloria waters in Brazil for Day Two of the Women’s Laser Radial and Men’s Laser Sailing.

The winds are much lighter on day two, with both looking to make their way up the leaderboard.

After Day One Wollmann is in 33rd place with 60 points, while Pimentel is in 39th with 76 points.

Wollmann crossed the line 33rd in the first race of the day and the third of the Women’s Laser Radial 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Wollmann crossed the line in a time of 49.05, she was 30th around the first mark, and then 31st around the second, she fell one more spot around the third and another around the 4th marker she was 34th around the 5th marker before crossing the line in the 33rd position. Wollmann has fallen to 34th overall with 60 Net Points.
Pimentel Heading Out
Pimentel finishes 41st in the first race on Day Two and the 3rd of the Regatta in the Men's Laser Fleet.

Pimentel recorded a time of 46.13, he rounded the first mark in 43rd place, he was then 44th around marks 2-4, he moved up to 40th around the 5th mark before finishing in the 41st position, after three races Pimentel is 42nd overall with 72 Net Points.

Wollmann finished the second race of the day in 35th place, Wollmann rounded the first mark in the race in 27th, she held that position around the second mark, before finding herself in 30th around the third mark. Wollmann would then be in the 32nd position around the 4th mark and then she was 34th around the 5th mark before heading home in a time of 56.25.

Wollmann would end the day in 34th place with 128 Net Points after 4 races.

Pimentel then put together a good finish as he clocked a time of 54.24 in the second race to finish 28th and move him up the leaderboard to 39th overall with 100 Net Points.

Pimentel rounded the first mark in 22nd, before moving up to 20th at the second marker. He held his position before falling back on a wind shift, but unlike the day before he was able to recover in time and record a strong finish.
