Dean Barker's Team Japan was given a scare last week when another of their Kiwi crew, grinder Winston Macfarlane, was thrown overboard during a training run in Bermuda.
The incident occurred while team was testing the AC45X development boat on Bermuda's Great Sound.
Fortunately, Macfarlane was unhurt and was quickly brought to safety.
Like Barker, the grinder is a former member of of Team New Zealand, with Macfarlane following the skipper to Team Japan last year.
And it's not the first time Barker has had to fetch him out of the water.
Macfarlane also went overboard while racing for Team New Zealand during the 2011 America's Cup World Series in Cascais, Portugal.
