Six Bermuda youth sailors continued competing in Salinas Ecuador on Day 4 of the International Optimist Dinghy Association's (IODA) South American Championships.
Representing Bermuda are Jordan Etemadi, Sebastian Kempe, Luke Madeiros, Rian McDonnell-Geraghty, Tayte Stefaniuk and Leyli Walker. They are accompanied by their Coach Pablo Weber.
Now that they have sailed 8 races the sailors are now allowed to drop a race.
Etemadi moved up one spot from his starting position of 49th place to end the day with 156 points competing in the Amarillo Fleet.
Racing in the Azul Fleet, McDonnell-Geraghty finds himself in 40th place with 191 points, Walker is now in 45th place with 209 points and Kempe rounds off the Bermuda sailors in the Fleet as he is in 45th with 217 points.
Madeiros is holding down the 6th place spot in the Rojo Fleet with 192 points and Stefaniuk is currently in 19th with 214 points.
