Day Three Youth Sailing World Championships

IslandStats.com
In a break from the norm, winds and storms dropped in and out on day three of the 45th Youth Sailing World Championships in Langkawi, Malaysia.

Hungary's Maria Erdi leads the Girl's Laser Radial following a win and second place for the day. With an aim of consistent races, the Hungarian is on track to achieve that goal as her lowest finish of a sixth place is discarded to leave her on 12 points.

Ceci Wollmann began the day in 14th place overall in the field of 49 Women Laser Radial sailors, she recorded a 15th place finish in the first race, which was followed by a 27th place finish in the second race and she comes off the water in 15th place with 73 Net Points.

In the Boy's Laser Radial, Australia's Alistair Young was coming off the back of a perfect day yesterday when he took two for two. He began day three with a discarded fifth place, but came back with a second to maintain his lead at the top.

In a Fleet of 65 Boy’s Mikey Wollmann finds himself in 37th place with 160 Net Points. Mikey Wollmann recorded finishes of 23rd in the Opening Race of the day and the fifth of the Regatta and 42nd in the second.
