Day Two of racing for the LaserPerformance Team Race National Championship on Narragansett Bay co-hosted by Brown University, Salve Regina University and New York Yacht Club, saw the sixteen collegiate teams from across the nation who qualified to compete in this event for the national title and the Walter C. Wood Trophy, back in the water.
Mackenzie Cooper and his St. Mary’s College of Maryland teammates moved up to 6th with a record of 12-7.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland went into the day with a record of 7-3, they picked up 3 more wins in the round robin stage and they lost twice to finish with a record of 10-5. The three wins came against Wisconsin, UC Santa Barbara and Oregon State.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland moved to the Round of Eight were they ended the day 2-2, the fell to Yale and Boston College, while picking up wins against Roger Williams and Tufts.
