One of Bermuda’s most established and trusted names in the insurance sector has been named the Official Healthcare Provider of the America’s Cup Event Authority (ACEA) and ORACLE TEAM USA.
BF&M has a proud heritage in Bermuda, dating back to 1903, when the first home and marine insurance policies were issued.
“We started offering general insurance in 1903 and have since expanded into life insurance, health insurance, pension administration, investment advisory services, health reinsurance, and real estate,” said John Wight, the President and CEO of the BF&M Insurance Group.
“With the America’s Cup coming to Bermuda we wanted to show our support to the event and our community,” Wight said. “This agreement allows us to be involved with one of the biggest things to happen in Bermuda. We’re very proud and excited to be a part of it.”
With ORACLE TEAM USA crew members and ACEA staff relocating to Bermuda beginning this month, it was important to have healthcare arrangements in place to cover staff and their families.
“We’re very happy to have BF&M providing a high standard of care for staff at both ACEA and ORACLE TEAM USA, along with their families,” said Scott Smith, the Chief Financial Officer of ACEA.
