The Bermuda Optimist Dinghy Association (BODA) hosted Day Two of the IODA South American Championships Trials in the Great Sound, the IODA South American Championships will take place in Peru in April, with the top 5 sailors will qualifying to attend.
The day started out with approximately 5-7 knots out of the East which promptly died after the first race to virtually nothing. After a long delay, the fleet came ashore, ending the qualification series.
The days only race was won by Adam Larson, while Tayte Stefaniuk finished second and Joe Arrowsmith finished 3rd.
Going into the day Stefaniuk was leading followed by Arrowsmith, Micah Thomas, Larson and Jordan Etemadi.
At the end of the event, the 5 sailors advancing are Stefaniuk, Arrowsmith, Larson, Thomas and Campbell Patton.
