The Bermuda Optimist Dinghy Association (BODA) hosted Day One of the IODA South American Championships Trials in the Great Sound.
The IODA South American Championships will take place in Peru in April, with the top 5 sailors will qualifying to attend.
After five races on the opening day, Tayte Stefaniuk had a very consistent day recording three second place finishes, a fifth and a first for his 12 points.
Joe Arrowsmith is in second with 13 points, while Micah Thomas is in 3rd with 19 points, Adam Larson is holding down the 4th place position with 21 points and Jordan Etemadi is in the final qualifying spot with 28 points.
