IslandStats.com
The storm that is bearing down upon the north country of the USA had a tail sweeping through southern Florida, bringing breeze from the south-southwest as the 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup Series got underway.

Biscayne Bay came alive with the sails of 651 boats, featuring 848 sailors from 63 nations. Bermuda’s Cameron Pimentel and Ceci Wollmann lined up to take part, Pimentel in the Lasers and Wollmann in the Laser Radial.

Pimentel finished the first race in 43rd, Pimentel then finished the second race in 42nd place to end the day 89th overall with 85 points.

Wollmann’s Laser Radial Fleet never got a race in on day one as the weather proved too much for the sailors.
